Flambeaux Wine Club Fall Update: BIG News Inside

Hello again from Flambeaux Wine!

As our long (and hot) summer comes to an end, we are preparing for harvest. There is little Cabernet Sauvignon loves more this time of year than being warm and thirsty, and the past three months have certainly delivered. The grapes have responded well. We are seeing beautiful clusters, and we expect not only a large yield but also very high quality from this year's crop.

Speaking of the vineyard, we have an exciting announcement. We recently planted another acre of Cabernet Sauvignon on a relatively flat hilltop here that we call "The Bench." In a few years, this new acreage will supply us another 150 cases of our Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and all indications are it will definitely be needed.

Indeed, we are already seeing a significant increase in orders now that world-renowned wine critic Antonio Galloni has reviewed our wines on Vinous. Galloni, who rarely gives a new winery more than 90 points, awarded our 2014 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 92 points and our 2014 Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 91 points! His substantive reviews were glowing; while too long to be recited here, they can be found on the Flambeaux Wine website or at www.vinous.com.

Our final update is arguably our most important. We are thrilled to announce that we have found a new home for our wine at Grand Cru Custom Crush in Windsor, California. Grand Cru not only gives us a state-of-the-art facility to make and store our wine, but it also provides us a tasting room! While we will continue to host wine club member tastings at Flambeaux's vineyard (we know you all love that perk), the new winery will give us the ability to provide everyone an exciting tasting experience by appointment. We certainly encourage you to check it out the next time you visit. While the vineyard is beautiful, there is nothing like seeing a working winery in action. You can learn more about Grand Cru by visiting www.grandcrucustomcrush.com.

As those of you who have been in the club since the beginning know, we like to thank our members for their support and appreciation of our wines by including a little lagniappe with each shipment. This time around, we are sending you a Koala brand corkscrew. Made in Spain, this double-hinged "waiter's corkscrew" is our go-to at wine events because it is both durable and reliable. We hope you enjoy it and, of course, your selection of wines!

Please stay in touch. We love hearing from you, whether by email, over the phone, or on your favorite social media platform.

Cheers!
