"The 2020 Chardonnay Sangiacomo Vineyards carries aromas of toasted brioche, vanilla bean, and quince. Full and round, the palate fills with sweet fruit to baked apples and candied peach. Drink It over the next 3-5 years." - Jeb Dunnuck

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
With a nose of lemon verbena and baked apple turnover this wine explodes on the palate with zest and mouth-filling richness. Notes of ginger and kiwi linger though till the finish and a refined brioche note adds another dimension to this stunning wine.
Vineyard Profile
This wine is composed from two world-class vineyards owned by the Sangiacomo family, one of Sonoma County’s original--and leading--grape-growing families. Located near the Petaluma Gap, the Roberts Road Vineyard is characterized by cool temperatures and coastal fogs. The block is planted with the Dijon clone 95, a variety ideally suited for even the coolest climates and which adds a sparkling minerality and a green apple component to the blend. The Kiser Vineyard is situated farther inland in southwestern Sonoma and is planted with the Wente clone, a cultivar that contributes bright acidity balanced with the concentrated and weighty stone fruit flavors.
Winemaker Notes
This wine is composed of two different blocks from two very distinct and different vineyard sites from the Sangiacomo family. The Robert's Road vineyard out in the Petaluma Gap is a Dijon clone of Chardonnay that adds the lime, minerality, and more austere notes in this wine. The Kiser vineyard in Sonoma proper is planted to Wente clone which brings more depth of texture and tropical notes. Together these create a balanced wine with lively acidity and width through the palate, resulting in both food-friendly and textural wine. ~ Winemaker, Ryan Prichard
