Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Notes of ripe cassis, nutmeg, and a faint dusting of pine nut with some black cherry and cool mint. On the palate the wine is seductively alluring with long, silky, but firm tannins, and a finish that lingers on begging for further investigation. A fantastic and exciting journey.
Vineyard Profile
Located high in the hills of the Southeastern tip of Alexander Valley sits the Toby Lane Vineyard. Tucked back off of Chalk Hill Road in a pocket of tight valleys, Toby Lane opens up to a rolling hillside where Cabernet Sauvignon is grown for our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The gravelly clay loam soil profile is fairly thin and wines from this ranch tend to have nice, firm tannins with a darker fruit profile.

Winemaker Notes
Nestled deep in the hills of Alexander Valley - just southwest of Chalk Hill, the Toby Lane vineyard holds the morning misty fog, allowing fruit to ripen slowly and methodically through this cool vintage. It really shows through on the profile of this wine, with that cool undertone permeating every sip. With 100% French oak, this wine also presents itself with a little more herbal spice. ~ Winemaker, Ryan Prichard
Food Pairing

About Flambeaux Wine
Flambeaux are the dancing torchbearers of Carnival night parades. A quintessential symbol of New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition, Flambeaux represent all that we love best about wine—light flickering in a glass, complex flavors dancing across the palate, and a celebration of life.
